Meet Our Pastor!

Pastor Erika Martinez-Flores - Serving the Viroqua and Westby United Methodist Churches

My husband and I came to the Driftless area in 2019, since then I have served the Westby and Viroqua congregations. I have felt greatly blessed to minister alongside these congregations of brothers and sisters in Christ.

I was born in Mexico City, where I received the call to serve the Lord, I studied at the "Dr. Gonzalo Baez-Camargo" Seminary of the Methodist Church of Mexico in Mexico City and later studied Educational Psychology at the Pedagogical University National, in the same city.

I love to show the richness of my culture in different areas of my ministry, like liturgy, stories (messages) and, of course, food. I am a firm believer in the Methodist and Christian principles of social justice, respect and celebration of diversity, in showing compassion for the most vulnerable, and caring for and protecting our world, especially animals.

My family is completed by my husband Jorge, who is also a pastor, our dog Winky and our cats Rosita and Frida.
